Kilworth Flooring Recognised for Significant Contributions to Sustainable Waste Management
The Annual Recofloor Awards 2025 once again highlighted the flooring industry’s strong commitment to waste management and sustainability. The Kilworth Flooring Team was pleased to attend, and it was genuinely encouraging to hear so many positive stories from across the industry about how waste vinyl products are being successfully diverted from landfill towards more environmentally sound methods.
The Recofloor Awards are unique in their focus, specifically recognising and celebrating companies that are helping to drive sustainability within the vinyl flooring sector.
The construction industry is a major consumer of resources and has a notable environmental impact. By actively reclaiming commercial vinyl flooring, Recofloor plays a vital role in supporting industry partners like us in working more sustainably and contributing to a circular economy.
These awards serve as an important platform to acknowledge the collective successes within our industry. They celebrate the tangible reductions in vinyl waste heading to landfills, significantly contributing to a more sustainable future for all.
While we didn’t secure a top spot in the main award categories this year, Kilworth Flooring was nevertheless very proud and pleased to receive a Silver Award. This recognition is a direct acknowledgment of the substantial volume of clean vinyl waste we successfully diverted through the Recofloor scheme over the past twelve months. It demonstrates our ongoing commitment and the dedicated efforts of our team.
The Kilworth Team remains firmly committed to environmental waste management. We will continue to apply best practices to ensure the responsible disposal and recycling of our vinyl waste products. Our aim is to continually contribute to a greener future, further demonstrating our commitment to sustainable practices.
