A family run business

Located in central Leicestershire, we are a multi generation, family run business who specialise in contract commercial flooring, furniture and soft furnishings. Our team has grown over the years, with the inclusion of specialist procurement, design and installation staff, allowing us the strength of experience in all areas to provide the most successful end results.

OUR HISTORY
KILWORTH-1
2005

Kilworth Flooring was created by the current owners, after many years in Healthcare / Commercial Flooring, to look after the flooring needs of Nursing and Care Homes on a nationwide basis.

KILWORTH-2
2008

Kilworth Furnishings was added to the portfolio to provide expert advice, design and project management and extensive product supply to Nursing and Care Homes.

2015

Kilworth moved into new purpose-built office and warehouse building, offering more than 6,000 sq/ft of stock and storage space. This helped to support stock ranges and quick turnaround delivery options.

2020

The Covid Years – continued to tirelessly support the Care Home industry throughout this challenging period with product and services. We came through the other side with our full team intact and continue to support our client base in the period of recovery for the industry.

2024

Kilworth are still providing Flooring & Furnishings to a wide, growing customer base, not just in the Care Sector, but expanding to schools, leisure and hospitality industries.

MEET THE TEAM
Neil Stanway
Managing Director
After many years in the commercial flooring and healthcare industry, Neil started the flooring side of the business in 2005 with wife and co-Director Janine. He is still a very active member of the company, both internally and customer facing, and will often be seen unloading lorries on site as needed. Neil is a big sports fan and lifelong Spurs supporter, although he loses interest about two thirds of the way through the season when he realises it will be without trophies yet again. Now Grandad to five Grandchildren, he loves seeing them grow and being a part of their lives, but needs to keep working as it’s expensive at Christmas and birthdays!
Laura Attewell
Sales & Design Co Ordinator
Laura joined the company back in 2019 from a major furniture supplier who relocated their operations – which meant Laura was looking for a new challenge. She is a great addition to the team with many years experience in product and design. It has always been tricky to pin down a formal job description for Laura, as she is most capable across the role and can turn her hand to all things sales and design (which she often has too). Laura, like Will, is a big dog fan and has two of her own ‘Hugo and Nellie’, to say they are spoiled rotten is a big understatement.
Will Stanway
Flooring Operations & Installation
The baby of the team, although that can’t really be said anymore. Will entered the family business after leaving school when he was just 16. He’s now been involved in the business for over 10 years, and is a dad himself so perhaps that was an unfair introduction. Will has learned the trade from the ground up, quite literally. Starting as a trainee floor layer, he’s now a great fitter and a major part of the day to day flooring and furnishing businesses and he is regularly on site to run the new build fit out projects. Will has been quite a prolific fundraiser over the years, having shaved his head, partaken in white collar boxing and most recently completed a 72 hour bushtucker wild camping experience – you just never know what hare brained idea will be next!
Adrian Snowden
Operations & Purchasing Manager
A born and bred Yorkshireman, you can be sure that Adrian will always be striving for the best possible deal for the customer at all times. Having worked in operations and procurement for many years, ‘Adi’ joined the team in 2012 after moving down from West Yorkshire and relocating himself and the family to Leicestershire. Still an avid and lifelong Bradford City fan, he’s hanging on to those Yorkshire roots the best he can. As well as his love of sport, Adrian is also a huge music fan and definitely someone you want on your quiz team for the music round – just don’t ring him at 10.30am on weekdays as he doesn’t want to miss ‘Popmaster’.
Steve Ireland
Sales Director
Steve joined up with Neil & Janine in 2008 to start the Kilworth furnishings side of the company. Like Neil, Steve has many years in the commercial flooring and furnishings industry, and is the primary contact for compiling detailed specifications for new build projects. Whilst he is the first to admit he’s slowing down a bit these days, he will still be found on site from start to finish to ensure that all goes as it should, and to the customer’s satisfaction. Steve is a keen wildlife and environmental enthusiast, and has played an active role in many valuable projects over the years.
Alan Smith
Transport & Site Installations
Alan has been with Kilworth since 2016 and joined us as a delivery driver but, as is often the case in a compact team, he understood that the role was far more than just driving. Alan is a reliable and capable team player, driving, delivering, installing and fitting all things Kilworth are within his remit and capability. Dad of two daughters and a Grandad too, he is a dedicated family man, living in Leicestershire all his life but somehow supports Nottingham Forest, but I don’t think too many Leicestershire folk will hold this against this all round Mr Nice Guy!
Ian Severn
Transport & Site Installations
After many years spent in the same challenging career, Ian fancied a change and joined Kilworth in early 2019. As a qualified HGV driver and having vast practical skills and knowledge, Ian has added great experience and ability to our team. Along with Alan, he takes on the roles of driving, delivery, installation and fitting and is a valued member of our new build fit out team. Again, a Leicestershire man, Ian enjoys getting out and about on the Motorbike or in the Caravan (but we don’t hold that against him) and has many a tale to tell of his previous career.
Kyle Bott
Operations Assistant
The newest and youngest team member, Kyle joined us in mid 2023 after having served seven years in the armed forces. Working closely with Adrian within the Operations team, Kyle will be involved in a wide cross section of roles within the company. With many travels under his belt, whilst serving his time in the Army, Kyle is a Leicester lad, his hobbies include Mixed Martial Arts and time at the Gym. We are glad to have Kyle involved in the team and look forward to helping him grow in this new and quite different role.
Huxley
The Company Mascot
As is probably often the case, most people will scroll through the ‘meet the team’ section to avoid the humans and get to the dog! Well not in this case, we’ve stuck him at the top of the list and he is definitely worthy of the top spot. Huxley is the most placid and friendly companion to everyone, but he is the loyal and trusted sidekick of his human Will. The pair of them are inseparable and you will often find ‘Hux’ either having a day out at the office or warehouse, or in his favourite place in the van with the window down and the wind blowing through his hair. Huxley is a great companion to us all, but one of his favourite humans has to be Laura as she has the most treats!
